Hello I will be in Milwaukee this weekend opening for the very funny Rob Little! Milwaukee is super fun it has a nice river to walk by. So maybe you could come to the show and then we could walk along the river. No pressure i’m just saying it would be really fun.

Stand Up! Records is proud to present The First Annual Akumal Comedy Festival. The festival will take place on April 19-21st, 2012 in the heart of Mexico’s lovely Mayan Riviera.

This completely free comedy festival will feature over a dozen professional comedians from the United States performing seven shows in four distinct venues in Akumal over three days. The Festival is the brain child of Grammy Award winning president and founder of Stand Up! Records Dan Schlissel and comedian/actor Gus Lynch (Saving Silverman, North Country, I Spy), who seek to showcase the finest professional and fastest rising stars in stand up comedy, as well as the people, restaurants, and businesses of Akumal.

Award winning filmmakers Matthew Olson and Token Media will be working with the comedians to produce comedy short films and multimedia content featuring the most beautiful and distinct locales and hot spots in Akumal all week long!

The Festival will culminate on Saturday, April 21st on the Cancha at Plaza Ukana with a free show featuring Festival Headliner and Stand Up! Records recording artist Chad Daniels. Chad has appeared on The Tonight Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and his Comedy Central Presents special was voted #5 of all time in 2010. The evening will also feature a “Best of the Fest” lineup, live music, street vendors and artists, as well as plenty of food, beverage, and alcohol options.

Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door. As always, a student ID gets you in for $5. Cash or credit at the door, but cash is always preferred.

If you park in the lot behind the Corner Bar (The bar we’re in the basement of) you can get the $3-$4 you pay for parking off your tab

Cap city comedy club was great! Austin is a super fun town. I spent most of my days tracking down spots where they filmed dazed and confused. The other part of my time was spent looking for a halloween costume. Many good people came out to the shows. I will be at Acme all this week. Also Tommy and his Mommy talk show is on its way, the first date will be January 7th at the BLB, so look for more about that show soon.

Hey everyone, hope you have been doing well. Right now I’m in Sunny California, and it is very nice. I’m not even that burned! I will be home next week, back to cold Minnesota. This tuesday I will be at the House of Comedy hit or miss showcase with tons of great comics. So head down to the mall get some shopping done, and see a comedy show.
Also big news, my T-shirts are being made, and will be done by Oct 21st, and then you can buy them and wear them, and your friends will be like, “that shirt is soooo cool! Here is $100 because you look so cool in that shirt.” Thats right if you wear my shirt your friends will give you $100!

Thanks who have come out to the shows so far. The shows have been fun, and the people have been great, eating at the Schreiner’s Diner makes me happy too.
This city is also the home of the Houdini Museum, which I will someday go in, but I get nervous because, what if at the end of it they would trap you in the museum, and you would have to escape! That actually sounds kind of fun when I think about it. maybe I can make a video of me going to see it, and trying to escape, and put it up on the website thing! Hope everyone is doing well!
